There will be several sub-committees and other non-statutory bodies to discuss the issues and their complexities in depth and recommend decisions to the relevant authorities.
Dr. Subir Choudhury

Dr. Subir Choudhury, a Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Jadavpur University, is a futuristic Indian Edu-preneur with three decades of experience in the education community. His expertise includes developing, administering and managing educational and research institutes of repute.
He runs a well-diversified group interested in Education, Research and Development, Healthcare, Information Technology and Real Estate.
Presently, Dr. Choudhury is the Trustee and Member, Board of Governors of two renowned engineering colleges in India, namely BP Poddar Institute of Management & Technology and St. Thomas’ College of Engineering & Technology both of them being approved by the All-India council for Technical Education (AICTE) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA), two of the Apex bodies of accreditation for higher studies in the country.
With a rich experience of corporate liaising, he has astoundingly succeeded at connecting both the Institutes with industry leaders in form of Corporate Advisory Board Meets, and formed various other academia-industry alliances.
His exceptional skills, hallmarked by proactiveness and critical reasoning have been instrumental in putting the Institutions on an unparalleled trajectory of growth and sterling placements for students.
Dr. Choudhury is also the Secretary, Board of Governors of a heritage residential school which has completed its bi-centennial year in May 2023. St. Paul’s School Darjeeling; proudly known as “Eton of the East”, has been synonymous with quality education and has consistently been adjudged one of the best educational institutions in India.

Dr. Partha Pratim Chakrabarti

Dr. Partha Pratim Chakrabarti is a distinguished professor and an Indian Computer Scientist. He is the former Director of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur), India. Presently he is Institute Chair Professor in the Computer Science & Engineering Department of IIT Kharagpur.
He was the professor-in-charge of the state of the art VLSI Design Laboratory which he helped set up and has been the Dean of Sponsored Research and Industrial Consultancy at IIT Kharagpur and Head of the Advanced Technology Development Centre. He was also the co-Director of the strategic General Motors-IIT Kharagpur Collaborative Research Laboratory on Electronics, Control and Software. He pioneered the development of the Incubation Program at IIT Kharagpur. His areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Formal Methods, CAD for VLSI & Embedded Systems, Fault Tolerance and Algorithm Design.
He has worked closely with Govt. of India as well as industry on various problems and has successfully led and completed large projects and programs at national and international levels. Important among them include DST, CSIR, IGSTC, Volkswagen Foundation, National Semiconductor Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Intel Corporation, Synopsys, General Motors, Xerox, etc.
Dr. Chakrabarti has made pioneering research contributions and has solved a number of open problems. His work has been incorporated in standard text books as well as industry level tools of major international companies. He has published more than 200 papers in international journals and conferences and supervised numerous Ph.D. students
Dr. Chakrabarti is also an Honorary Awardee of Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, the highest science award in India, for the engineering category in 2000. He also received the President of India Gold Medal (1985), the INSA Young Scientist Award (1991), Anil K Bose Award (1995), INAE Young Engineer’s Award (1997) and the Swarnajayanti Fellowship (1997–98), INAE Visweswarya Chair Professorship (2007-9), J. C. Bose National Fellowship (2013) and many other awards.
He has been elected a Fellow of the Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi and the Indian Academy of Science, Bangalore, Indian National Academy of Engineering and the West Bengal Academy of Science & Technology.

Dr. Suman Chakraborty

Dr. Suman Chakraborty is Institute Chair Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India and Sir J. C. Bose National Fellow as bestowed by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He has been the Head of the School of Medical Science and Technology and the Dean of Research and Development of the Institute.
He is a recent winner of the National Award for Teachers presented by the Honourable President of India, and prestigious international accolades including the TWAS Awards bestowed by the World Academy of Science in the domain of Engineering & Computer Science, Freeman Scholar Award from the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the coveted Infosys Prize (in category of Engineering & Computer Science). Based on his outstanding research contributions, he has also featured in the list of top 100 Researchers across all disciplines in Asia in 2023 by the Asian Scientist Magazine. He has been the recipient of the Santi Swaroop Bhatnagar Prize in the year 2013, which is among the highest Scientific Awards from the Government of India.
He has been elected as a Fellow of the American Physical Society, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Fellow of the ASME – 3 of the leading International Academic Bodies. He is also a Fellow of all the Indian National Academies of Science and Engineering. He has been the recipient of the G. Dr. Siddhartha Datta is the former Pro Vice-Chancellor and renowned Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department of Jadavpur University, one of the globally reputed Indian Universities.
With about 34 years of teaching and research expertise Dr. Datta has 256 Research Publications including 118 in various International Journals to his credit. He has vast experience from supervising students on the Doctoral level, as well as on the Post Graduate level. Furthermore, he has authored seven books and reviewed numerous Indian and International Journals and also conducted several Research Projects funded by various Indian and International industries. Over 50 Multinational and Indian companies have been benefitted from his consulting advice. His Community Development Activities also include establishment of Community Development Research Laboratory in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Jadavpur University to produce health and environment friendly products from different herbal sources through R & D works. Pilot plants have also been set up to produce different items on a commercial basis and also to impart training to unemployed youth and members of self-help groups.
For his pioneering research contributions Dr. Datta has been granted three patents by the Government of India.
Dr. Datta has also been conferred with several prestigious awards such as the “ENVIRONMEND 2005 Award” in recognition of outstanding contributions towards Environment Protection in West Bengal, India, presented by the International Association for Human Values, “Mrs. Chinnamaul Memorial Prize” for the best technical paper presented at the Annual session, Indian Chemical Engineering Congress, 2000. He is the thrice recipient of the “Sir Ganga Ram Memorial Medal” for the best paper published in the Journal of the Institution of Engineers (India), CHE Division, in 1995-96, 1996-97 and 2009-10.
